Job description

Our client, a Microsoft Partner, is looking to add a Technical Project Manager to their LATAM Azure infrastructure team. The engagement is part-time (15-20 hours a week) and fully remote. Successful candidates can be located anywhere in Latin America. It’s a client-facing role, so strong English communication skills (at least B2+ or higher) are required, as is a commitment to participate in client meetings as required.

We are looking for a technical project manager with experience working on Azure cloud infrastructure-related projects, specifically migrations from AWS/GCP to Azure. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of methodology and best practices for migrating to Azure and a structured approach that encompasses planning, assessment, deployment, and continuous optimization.

The successful candidate will have previous experience running customer-facing projects in large, complex organizations. Please note that the role is very self-directed and outcome-focused—only mature project managers who can manage their own time and take initiative will be successful in this position.

What you will be doing:

• Participate in pre-sales meetings with the client's C-level executives.
• Ensure that infrastructure projects meet client expectations in a timely manner.
• Serve as a touchpoint between technical teams and clients to provide project insights.
• Ensure the successful delivery of projects on time.
• You should be the main point of contact for all projects, meaning you should be knowledgeable about their status, scheduled timelines, budget, scope, risk, and client expectations.
• Communicate with delivery teams to assess problems and generate solutions.
• Communicate with clients to discuss timeline and/or development issues.
• Liaise with the technical team in Latin America and sometimes in India.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager.
• Proven ability to deliver customer-facing technical projects.
• Proven experience delivering cloud infrastructure projects (ideally Azure).
• Proven ability to lead/oversee multiple small to medium-sized projects.
• Hands-on experience with PM tools such as Asana, JIRA, and bonus points for Azure DevOps.

Nice-to-haves:

• Pre-sales experience.
• Experience converting project requirements to a technical project plan using CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework).
• Infrastructure background is a bonus point.
• AZ900 certification is highly desirable.
• Project Management certification(s), such as PMP or Prince2.
