Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver our highest-value technology implementation projects. This role is critical to ensuring successful client outcomes through proactive planning, coordination, and delivery execution.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in project management, with experience in infrastructure design, data management, or enterprise technology environments. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure/GIS team to assess project opportunities, organize discovery calls, and document business needs.
- Support the development of proposals and statements of work (SOWs) including scoping, preliminary scheduling, resource planning, risk identification, and cost estimation.
- Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables aligned with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans including schedules, resource allocation, and work breakdown structures.
- Coordinate internal teams and third-party contractors, ensuring clear task assignment, sequencing, and dependency management.
- Manage project performance, budget, timeline, and quality from kickoff through completion, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain project documentation and reporting, including status updates, risk assessments, and change orders.
- Conduct regular project team meetings, record action items and decisions, and track progress against plan.
- Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and setting accurate expectations.
- Track time and expenses using Salesforce, manage project budgets, monitor milestones, and forecast billing schedules.
- Oversee project invoicing and financial reporting, manage change orders, purchase orders, and ensure timely client payment.
- Manage third-party vendors and subcontractors with clear agreements, deliverables, and timelines.
- Contribute to internal process enhancements and share lessons learned to improve delivery methodologies.
- Support marketing efforts by contributing to project success stories, case studies, testimonials, and client satisfaction initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience leading technology implementation projects in infrastructure, CAD design systems, data management, or enterprise software.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Experience with waterfall and/or agile project management methodologies.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, OneNote, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Miro, and Salesforce.
- Experience with Microsoft M365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with GIS Enterprise systems and/or ETL technologies such as FME is a plus.
- Highly self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proactive and capable of independently identifying and addressing project needs.
- Willingness to travel within Canada and the USA as needed (estimated <10 days annually if required).

Compensation & Reporting
- Compensation: Base salary plus performance-based commission and full benefits.
- Reports To: Professional Services Manager – Infrastructure/GIS.
- This is a remote-first position. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone, ideally in British Columbia.
- Work can be performed from a home office anywhere in Canada, or optionally from a nearby SolidCAD or Cansel office.
