Job summary

Nokia is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support a strategic Nokia customer in Canada. You will provide technical leadership and program coordination for large-scale IP network migration and transformation projects across multiple sites, coordinating with project managers, customer engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure successful execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience delivering complex IP networking, service provider, or telecommunications projects.
  • Strong understanding of FN and IP technologies and network migration methodologies.
  • Experience managing large-scale network transformation, modernization, or migration programs.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams in multi-vendor environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and coordination for IP network transformation and migration programs across multiple customer sites.
  • Partner with Project Managers to develop and execute implementation, migration, and deployment plans.
  • Lead technical planning activities, including scope definition, risk identification, resource alignment, and dependency management.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of customer milestones and objectives.
  • Review and validate network architectures, designs, and migration methodologies.
  • Drive technical discussions with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks while providing escalation support during critical project phases.
  • Track program deliverables, technical issues, and action plans to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support customer acceptance activities, testing, cutover planning, and operational handoff.
  • Provide regular technical status updates and recommendations to project and executive stakeholders.
