Job Summary

NetApp is seeking a Technical Hardware and Sustainability Product Manager to join our product management team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing and influencing hardware designs in large enterprise environments and collaborates effectively with global R&D teams.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Product Management and involves close collaboration with Product leadership, Engineering, Procurement, Sustainability, and Support teams to develop compelling product strategies within NetApp's fastest-growing segments.

Additionally, we are looking for a strategic Sustainability Product Manager to lead our ESG initiatives, focusing on developing sustainability strategies, reducing environmental impact, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Our GHG reduction targets are validated by the SBTi. If you're passionate about sustainability, data-driven, and stakeholder-influencing, this is an excellent opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Gather, validate, and evaluate product/market requirements through research and customer engagement.
• Collaborate with R&D to translate sustainability market needs into innovative technologies.
• Define product vision, roadmaps, and lifecycle strategies.
• Provide market insights through analytics and research.
• Translate system and sustainability requirements into business language.
• Develop and execute sustainability programs to reduce carbon footprint, waste, and resource use.
• Monitor, measure, and report on sustainability metrics, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate internally to embed sustainable practices across functions.
• Engage with external organizations to enhance sustainability efforts.

Job Requirements

Technical & Industry Skills:

• 3+ years in product management, with experience in hardware and data center technologies.
• Knowledge of storage technologies, backup architectures, and related fields.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with sustainability frameworks, ESG reporting, and lifecycle assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with tools like Tableau, Salesforce, Jira.
• Deep knowledge of CPUs, GPUs, DPU, PCIe, NVMe, SSDs.
• Educational background in Computer Science, with an MBA preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental standards and sustainability certifications.

Travel: 15-25%

Education
