This role involves monitoring and optimizing site performance of solar and storage projects, ensuring assets deliver reliable output. Intersect has been a fully flexible workplace since its founding in 2016. We’ve been very intentional about the way we do things. We are not work‑from‑home, hybrid, or in‑office – we are any and all of those options! Deepening social connections and offering shared experiences is a cornerstone of the way we work. We connect as a team at our Team Week experiences four times a year and at our recently established Hub locations – SF Bay Area, NYC Metro Area, NY; Denver, CO; Houston, TX; Calgary, AB; and Toronto, ON.
We are currently looking for candidates located within 60 miles of any of the listed hubs to foster more in‑person connections while maintaining our flexible remote culture.
As part of Intersect’s Technical Operations team, you’ll help drive performance excellence across a growing fleet of PV and storage projects in ERCOT. You’ll partner closely with site teams, Asset Management, and third‑party O&M providers to monitor system health, diagnose issues, and ensure assets deliver strong, reliable output in dynamic market conditions. This position supports fleet‑wide operational readiness and continuous improvement, contributing directly to fleet reliability, financial performance, and long‑term asset value.
The current Technical Operations team works closely with Development and Construction to move Intersect’s pipeline from concept through commissioning, remaining deeply involved throughout the full project lifecycle. As Intersect scales its operating fleet over the coming year, the Technical Operations organization is expanding to support a larger portfolio and deliver best‑in‑class asset performance.
