Reporting to the Director of Technical Services, the Technical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities within the hotel. The individual in this role plays a key part in preserving the infrastructure and equipment of the property, ensuring regular maintenance and repairs are carried out, and supervising and training the maintenance staff.

Job Description:

  • Coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities throughout the hotel.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks, including the repair of basic equipment and systems.
  • Plan and assign tasks to the maintenance team.
  • Ensure proper follow-up of maintenance procedures and collaborate with the director to track preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Train and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards and best practices.
  • Manage inventories of spare parts and tools necessary for maintenance. Purchase supplies for the department as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure maintenance needs are considered in hotel activity planning.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and breakdowns quickly, minimizing disruptions to guests.
  • Ensure compliance with the hotel's safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations as needed.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • DEP or technical diploma in a field such as engineering, industrial maintenance, electricity, electromechanics, or a related area.
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in a maintenance role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong technical skills in electricity, plumbing, mechanics, and other areas of general maintenance. Experience in staff management.
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team, with strong communication and management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, labor regulations, and the importance of strict adherence to them.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
