Bombardier in Canada is seeking a Technical Expert in Engineering, Projects, Aircraft Design and Development to lead technical packages, coordinate with teams and suppliers, and ensure adherence to development phases. The role requires a degree in Engineering, 5+ years in aerospace, strong communication, and experience with PLM tools like Siemens Teamcenter; a Master’s or PMI certification is an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Master's degree and/or PMI certification is considered an asset.
• 5+ years of relevant aerospace engineering experience.
• Experience supporting development programs through product lifecycle.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills; ability to influence without direct authority.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft systems; broad understanding of multiple subsystems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Project, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience with PLM tools such as Siemens Teamcenter (asset).

Responsabilités

• Develop work package (WP) Statement of Work aligned with technical requirements.
• Harmonize WP schedule and rally technical teams including suppliers.
• Organize tasks, priorities and budget with visibility to issues and risks and mitigation plan.
• Organize and chair Integrated Working Team (IWT) meetings and reviews.
• Participate in Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT) to ensure WP activity.
• Prepare visibility on WP deliverables in line with aircraft level requirements.
• Participate in program, supplier and technical reviews, providing support and visibility.
• Ensure PM process oversight and adherence to TRL, maturity, exit gate, and budget control.
• Coordinate with Bombardier Flight Test Center, Completions, etc.
• Assist for generic tools deployment and prepare PM policies.
• Deploy lessons learned and best project practices onto the platform.
• Provide platform support to PMO change harmonization and lead technical changes.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Develop work package (WP) Statement of Work, in line with the technical requirement of the program.
• Harmonize WP schedule and rally the technical teams behind meeting the schedule including supplier
• Ensure measures are in place to organize and control the tasks, the priorities & budget control,with appropriate levels of visibility to issues and risks and associated mitigation plan.
• Organize and chair Integrated Working Team (IWT) meeting, and the periodical reviews while followingthe BES development phases
• Be an active participant in the Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT), and rally WPactive participation.
• Prepare visibility on the work package and associated project deliverables, in line with the A/Clevel requirement
• Participate in program, supplier and technical review providing support and visibility to the teamand management
• Ensure Project Management process oversight and adherence to Technical Risk Level (TRL)requirements, Maturity & Exit Gate Criteria, and budget control
• Coordinate with other project organization (Bombardier Flight Test Center, Completions, ...)
• Assist for generic tools deployment with the platforms and prepare Bombardier Project Management policies
• Deploy process for Lessons Learned and Best Project Practices onto the platform
• Provide platform support to the PMO change harmonization process and lead the planning and executionof the required technical changes.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification. A Master's degree and/or PMIcertification is considered an asset.
• You have Bombardier experience and a good working knowledge of the BES (Bombardier EngineeringSystem).
• In the absence of Bombardier Aerospace (BA) knowledge, you are able to clearly demonstrate how yourprevious work experience has prepared you to lead the definition, implementation, and execution ofcomplex engineering projects.
• You have five (5) or more years of relevant experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a specificaerospace engineering field.
• You have experience supporting one or more development programs through various stages of the productlifecycle.
• You have excellent communication and multitasking skills, with the ability to influence without directauthority.
• You have strong knowledge in a specific technical field, along with a broad understanding of multiple aircraftsystems.
• You have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• You have experience with PLM tools such as Siemens Teamcenter, which is considered an asset.
• You are a highly organized individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to work with minimalsupervision.
• You demonstrate a logical and flexible mindset, take initiative, and are able to balance both a high-levelperspective and attention to detail.
