Job summary

Aylo Careers is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for our Data Warehouse Services team in a hybrid Montreal setting. You will store and disseminate data across org groups, enabling BI initiatives and reporting precision.

You’ll partner with Directors, Analysts, and Developers to define strategy and features for our reporting environments. Responsibilities include collaborating with business partners, analyzing data structures, and developing queries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, Excel, PowerBI, Fabric, and Cubes.
• Strong customer support experience.
• Understanding data flow concepts.
• Understanding business model concepts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Directors, Analysts, and Developers to define reporting objectives.
• Engage with partners to clarify data analysis needs and requirements.
• Analyze data structures from data marts to support BI initiatives.

The Data Warehouse Services team plays a vital role in our organization. Theyare responsible forstoring vast quantities of data from many sources and responsible fordisseminatingdata acrossthe organizationtovarious differentgroups. They are one of the backbones of data at ourorganizationand they are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their team.

Whatyou’llbe doing:

• Collaboratewith internalstakeholdersincluding;Directors, Analysts, and Developers to understand businessobjectivesandrequirements, and helpdefinethe strategy, content, and features forour reporting environments.
• Engage with business partners at all levels to discuss and clarify data analysis, needs and requirements.
• Analyze data structures and content from data marts to support business intelligence initiatives.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, where multitasking and adaptability are essential.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to define functional requirements, organize content, map process flows, and specify report features.
• Develop and optimize queries to investigate data issues or new reporting structures for various business units.
• Work closely with Database Administrators and Developers to estimate time and effort for report projects and refining these estimates throughout the project.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to track project status, identify potential risks,and resolve issues as they arise.
• Become a subject matter expert in relevant business domains and reporting tools.
• Assist in coordinating and maintaining development roadmaps to ensure alignment with business goals.

Whatyou’llneed to be successful:

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of tools to create, extract, and analyze from SQL Server / Excel / PowerBI / Fabric / Cubes.
• Strong customer support experience.
• Understanding Data flow Concepts.
• Understanding Business Model Concepts.
