Job summary

SOGECLAIR is seeking a qualified professional in Montreal to analyze operational needs, propose technical solutions for the manufacturing environment, and lead or support technical projects.

You will act as a bridge between shop-floor teams, support functions and management, drive continuous improvement, document processes, and help coordinate multi-stakeholder initiatives to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Hold a DEC in engineering or a related field.
  • Significant experience in manufacturing environments, work methods, technical coordination, or project management.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage technical projects and meet deadlines.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze operational needs and propose technical solutions adapted to the manufacturing environment.
  • Lead or support technical projects by ensuring their planning, follow-up, and coordination.
  • Develop and optimize work methods, operational standards, and coordination processes.
  • Act as a link between shop-floor teams, support functions, and management.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and recommend sustainable corrective actions.
  • Produce and maintain clear, structured documentation that is useful to operations.
  • Act as a resource person on complex technical matters and support the team as needed.
  • Contribute to the coordination and continuity of team activities as needed.
YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS
  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in engineering or in a discipline relevant to the position.
  • Have significant experience in a manufacturing environment, work methods, technical coordination, or project management.
  • Quickly understand technical, operational, and manufacturing challenges.
  • Demonstrate versatility, autonomy, judgment, and a strong interest in challenges.
  • Show strong communication, organizational, and priority management skills.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of an ERP or manufacturing systems is an asset.
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to gradually take on a broader role within the team.
  • Ability to manage technical projects, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong technical background in a manufacturing environment and good understanding of shop-floor operations.
  • Experience in work methods, continuous improvement, and process structuring.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
