Designated Work Location: 457 Main Street, On-site

Position Type: Temporary (up 4 months), part-time 21 hours per week

Hours of Work: Various shifts, Monday to Friday

Salary: $19.29 hourly, as per the Intern Classification within the C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement.

Job Profile
As The Technical Assistant Intern, You Will
  • Gathers and verifies assessment and tax related data and enters into computer system for assigned property types.
  • Perform general office work in connection with realty and business assessment roll production.
  • Provide strong customer service.
Your Education And Qualifications Include
  • High school diploma supplemented by post‑secondary courses in business administration, commerce, building trades or other related field.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency at a basic level using Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to make accurate mathematical calculations.
  • Accurate data entry skills with a demonstrated ability to record accurate and detailed information.
  • Good judgement skills demonstrating the ability to assess and capture relevant information.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and set and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing complex or technical information to a diverse client group.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, other employees and the general public.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage conflict and make appropriate conflict management skills.
