Job summary

Gibraltar Mine in McLeese Lake, BC is seeking a Technical Assayer to perform accurate elemental analyses of geological and process samples. You will support mining, milling, grade control, and quality assurance under supervision, applying wet chemistry and instrumental methods.

The role requires relocation to Williams Lake, BC, and involves strict safety and quality standards. Prior lab experience with base metals is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or technical diploma in a chemistry-related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a commercial/production lab performing base metal analyses.

Responsibilities

• Take part in on-site training and perform assays in conformance with safe work practices.
• Ensure grab assays are reported in a timely manner on receipt of samples.
• Ensure compliance with Mines Act, permits and company policies during duties.
• Assist in developing and implementing Metallurgical Engineering policies and procedures.
• Work on a shift rotation (4 on/5 off, 5 on/4 off) and cover relief shifts.
