Job summary

Air Canada is seeking an experienced Technical Analyst to support IT solutioning for the NDC portal and Air Canada B2B Agent portal. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors and internal users to deliver, test and optimize APIs, data flows, and integration points in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of IT technology or operations experience in a large company.
  • Experience with NDC APIs and schemas in an airline distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with IATA NDC standards and airline offer/order management.
  • Understanding of ITIL, SDLC, Agile methodologies, Jira, and cybersecurity risk management.
  • Knowledge of APIs and tools like SOAP UI / Postman; Mulesoft is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills; able to multi-task under pressure.

Air Canada is looking for an experienced and dynamic technical Analyst focused on providing support to IT solutioning Air Canada’s Product distribution applications. This role requires collaboration with a diverse internal workforce and extended third party service providers. These are exciting times for IT at Air Canada, with several major projects underway that will transform its IT landscape. This is a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technologies and to contribute to the evolution of the Air Canada’s NDC solution for its partners, a recognition program for corporate customers as well as optimize existing functionality. This position will be reporting to the IT Manager-responsible for NDC portal and the Air Canada B2B Agent portal.

Responsibilities
  • Solution, deliver, and maintain the NDC portal and the Air Canada agent portal as per desired technology architecture and business requirements while ensuring highest quality of end-products through introduction of new tools, technology, and practices for evolution of processes & optimization of applications.
  • Troubleshoot partner issues with IT cross functional teams and provide solutions promptly. Troubleshoot and fix software, messaging, and connectivity issues.
  • Support partners in their onboarding to the Air Canada Distribution Journey.
  • Host product / project meetings, improve cross discipline communications, and promote product management best practices.
  • Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to collect and use information for improved operational and commercial performance.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal users to develop, evaluate, install, and test software enhancements.
  • Review and analyze data from multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update technical documents, flowcharts, and procedures.
  • Communicate analysis results and making recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide support for the business analysis and technology/business integration efforts.
  • Conduct requirement and systems analysis and translate business requirements.
  • Support multiple working methodologies such as Hybrid, Agile, DevOps.
  • Support planning and monitoring processes.
  • Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions support definition and maintenance of methods, techniques, and calculations for identifying ways to improve business/technical processes.
Qualifications
  • At-least 3 years of IT technology or operations experience in a large company preferably in the Transportation/Airline domain would be an asset.
  • A relevant University degree/technical certification, and/or relevant experience commensurate to the role.
  • Experience working with NDC (New Distribution Capability) APIs and schemas in an airline distribution environment would be an asset.
  • Familiarity with airline offer and order management standards as defined by IATA NDC implementations.
  • Understanding of ITIL, SDLC, Agile methodologies, Jira, and cyber security risk management frameworks are assets.
  • Knowledge of APIs and Tools like SOAP UI/Postman is a must. Knowledge of Mulesoft will be an added advantage.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational and communication skills.
