Overview

Panasonic Canada Inc. is currently looking to hire for the position of TECHNICAL ANALYST II. This role involves installing, upgrading, and managing system security, providing subject matter expertise for change management, client methodology, interface technologies, backups, and performance tuning for SAP. The candidate will develop strategies and procedures to ensure the integrity of the test and production SAP and AS400 environments, provide database administration support to SAP systems, and support SAP patches and upgrades. Specific responsibilities include SAP S4 HANA System Administration, HANA performance tuning, HANA revision upgrades, backups, refreshes, failover, and disaster recovery.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Mississauga, working from our office at Ambler Drive.

Responsibilities

1. SAP patch management including kernel support for OS/400, W2K, and Unix, as well as support packages for S4HANA, R/3, APO, and BW. This includes downloading patches, assessing impact, testing, and scheduling production deployment.
2. Monitoring performance across S4HANA, OS400, W2K, Unix, and SAP platforms to ensure optimal service levels, with regular reviews.
3. Managing SAP R/3, S4HANA, and AS400 system security and user administration, including access control and periodic reviews.
4. Overseeing SAP release and change management, organizing upgrades, testing, and proper scheduling for deployment into production.
5. Supporting production department duties in team member absence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or a related field.
• Five+ years supporting SAP S4 HANA, ECC, BW, and IBP, with deep knowledge of SAP architecture, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of SAP roadmap, experience with SAP architecture on Windows and Linux, strong knowledge of AS400 OS, and familiarity with client network environments. Experience with S4HANA administration, performance tuning, upgrades, backups, failover, system copy, and migration to cloud.
• Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting LAN/WAN, microcomputers, and end-user technical issues related to Windows, Linux, SAP, and other applications.
• Ability to multitask, improve processes, and collaborate effectively within a team.

Nice-to-haves

• SAP certifications (preferred).
• Warehouse Management background.
• SAP S4 HANA certification, scripting, and automation skills are a plus.
