Job summary

The Vancouver Board of Education (VSB) invites applications for the position of Secondary Technical Studies Teachers (Woodwork, Metalwork, etc.). This is a continuing full-time role with benefits (1.0 FTE).

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Education, a relevant diploma in technical studies (Drafting, Woodwork, Metalwork, Electronics, Auto Mechanics), and have completed a teaching practicum. TRB status or eligibility and registration with the Teacher Qualification Service are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor of Education.
• Must have a diploma at a recognized institute (e.g. BCIT, VCC, OCC) in technical studies including Drafting, Woodwork, Metalwork, Electronics and Auto Mechanics is required.
• Must have completed a teaching practicum in technical education.
• Membership in or eligible to become a member in the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB).
• Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service.
