Job summary

British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a Technology Specialist Co-op/Intern for Winter 2027 (January–April) to support user tech needs and assist with improvements driven by the Technology Service Desk. You’ll gain exposure to enterprise IT, Active Directory, Intune, and PowerShell while supporting a diverse user base in Victoria.

Qualifications

• Enrollment or recent completion in an IT-related program.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication to identify issues and set expectations.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn new concepts and solve unfamiliar technical problems.
• Interpersonal skills with a customer-service focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support via Service Desk and in-person/phone/remote sessions.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software for workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Assist with account management tasks including password resets and access requests.
• Help with file and folder access management and network resource access.
• Assist with software packaging, policies, printers, and patch management.
