Job summary

Intero Integrity in Toronto is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our Unique Ability Team. You will apply hands-on mechanical skills to assemble, test and maintain electro-mechanical modules in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes quality, documentation and teamwork. A college diploma in electro-mechanical technology and at least 2 years of relevant experience are preferred; familiarity with wiring, drawings, and MS Office is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on mechanical skills with hand tools.
  • Experience crimping, soldering and wiring.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Organized and able to work independently in a task ownership culture.
  • Thrive in a cross-disciplinary team environment.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Office.

Responsibilities

  • General mechanical assembly and maintenance.
  • Test, repair, troubleshoot and modify electro-mechanical modules.
  • Quality assurance and testing with a high level of quality.
  • Organize and maintain shop facilities.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist others in duties as needed.

Job description

Intero Integrity Services provides inspection, industrial, and environmental services that help operators maintain the safety, reliability, and performance of critical infrastructure worldwide. Using advanced sensing technologies, robotics, and data-driven inspection methods, Intero supports clients throughout the lifecycle of their assets.

The Toronto Technology Center focuses on the development of robotic inspection systems designed to operate in challenging pipeline environments where conventional inspection tools cannot be used. Multidisciplinary teams work closely together to design, build, test, and refine these systems in-house.

About the Role

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician with relevant experience to become a member of our

dynamic Unique Ability Team. The ideal candidate has a solid mechanical aptitude, loves a technical

challenge, is self-motivated yet thrives in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • General mechanical assembly and maintenance
  • Test, repair, troubleshoot and modify electro-mechanical modules
  • Perform duties such as quality assurance and testing as required with a high level of quality
  • Organize and maintain shop facilities
  • Collaborate and cooperate with team members and assist others in the performance of their duties as needed
  • General wiring of equipment
  • Generate reports and other required documents as needed
  • Take personal responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and integrity of work.
Qualifications
Required
  • Hands-on mechanical skills and comfort using hand tools
  • Experience crimping, soldering, and installing wires and cables
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Well organized and able to manage time to work independently in a task ownership culture
  • Thrive in a cross-disciplinary team-based environment
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Office
Education

College diploma in an electro-mechanical technical discipline would be an asset

Considered Assets:
  • Experience in fleet/asset management and preventative maintenance environments
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits.
  • Machine shop / fabrication and electro-mechanical assembly experience
  • An interest or background related to robotics
