Job summary

Trillium Health Partners is seeking a Team Leader Environmental Services to oversee Housekeeping, Transportation and other Patient Support Services needs across the organization. This permanent full-time role reports to the Manager, Patient Support Services and involves staff scheduling and prioritization.

Working at multiple sites in Mississauga and area, you will lead and develop staff, manage budgets, and drive quality improvements in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Community College Diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and hospital experience in a unionized environment; OHA/CHA certificate is an asset.
• Supervisory/leadership experience in Hospitality/Environmental Services with strong customer service and team building skills.
• Proficiency with computer software (MS Office, EPIC, Meditech) required.
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills with analytical, problem solving and financial management abilities.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented environment.

• Staff development and facilitation of daily and ongoing activities ensuring effective use of resources.

• Identifies and resolves issues, troubleshoots operational problems and front line staff issues.
• Ensures that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, policies, standards and guidelines.
• Participates in the HR Workforce planning process, including selection, supervision and training of staff.
• Develops positive functional partnerships with client departments to meet their needs; liaises with staff, stakeholders and administrators in quality improvement.
• Develops, manages and monitors relevant budgets.

The Team Leader, Environmental Services reports to the Manager, Patient Support Services (Hospitality and Environmental Services). Is responsible for managing the delivery of Housekeeping, Transportation, and other Patient Support Services areas needs across the organization. The Team Leader assigns and prioritise tasks, duties and work requests and scheduling of staff.

Key Qualifications

• Community College Diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and hospital experience in a unionized environment. OHA/CHA departmental management certificate is a definite asset
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience in Hospitality/Environmental Services or equivalent experience combined with proven strong customer service and team building skills
• Good working knowledge of Computer software, i.e. MS Office, EPIC and Meditech, etc. required
• Strong communications and excellent interpersonal skills, combined with good analytical, problem solving and financial management skills required
• Strong ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced and customer service orientated environment.

Position Location and Travel

• Working at all sites of Trillium Health Partners is required.
