Job summary

Gastops Limited is seeking a Manufacturing Test Team Lead to oversee the MS1000 sensor test team, including assembly of sub-assemblies and finished products. You will foster a positive team culture, manage performance, and ensure proper training and documentation.

The role requires 10+ years of manufacturing experience, AS-9100D exposure, and the ability to drive process improvements while collaborating across management, engineering and HR teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Test Technicians responsible for testing MS1000 sensors and assembling sub- and finished assemblies.

• Collaborate with Production Planning on staffing and production flow.
• Ensure non-conformance management and corrective actions are followed.
• Implement and sustain lean manufacturing processes.

Job description

Over the last 47 years, Gastops has built a robust business which is recognized worldwide for its innovative contributions to equipment health management in the aviation, energy, marine, industrial and transportation industries. Gastops’ products and services add value throughout the life cycle of complex critical equipment from the design stage through to in-service operations and support. We design, manufacture, and support advanced equipment sensing and analysis products, including on-line oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at-line oil analysis systems.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading people and manufacturing test teams in a AS-9100D manufacturing environment, and a proven track record of improving a team’s culture, quality of work, and efficiency over time.

You have good communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of management, employees, engineering, and human resources. You can identify and solve problems that arise during production.

What You’ll Do:

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, Systems, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Lead a team of Test Technicians that are responsible for testing MS1000 sensors. This includes assembly of all sub-assemblies and finished assemblies.
• Responsible for creating a positive work culture and team dynamic within the MS1000 test team.
• Responsible for performance management of all Test Technicians within the team. This includes performing formal and informal performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and positive recognition when appropriate.
• Responsible for managing all employee training, ensuring that team members are properly trained for tasks they are performing and training is properly documented.
• Support the Manufacturing Manager in determining the requirements for new staffing and hiring new staff members.
• Responsible for working with Production Planning to ensure production moves as anticipated.
• Responsible for following the non-conformance management process and ensuring MS1000 test corrective actions are being performed appropriately.
• Ensure lean Manufacturing processes are implemented and sustained.

What You Should Bring:

The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical / Electrical Technician or Technologist diploma or equivalent and/or at least 10 + years of demonstrated manufacturing experience or related role. Additionally, you should have:

• High motivation with results-oriented focus
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (NATO Level Clearance)
