Job summary

Gastops in Ottawa is seeking a Test Team Lead for MS1000 sensors, overseeing assembly of sub-assemblies and finished products, and fostering a positive team culture.

You will manage performance evaluations, training, and collaborate with Production Planning; ensure non-conformance actions and lean processes are implemented. Eligible for NATO clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing test teams in an AS-9100D environment.
• Proven track record of improving team culture, quality of work and efficiency.
• Strong communication with all levels of management, employees, engineering and HR.
• Identify and solve problems that arise during production.
• Eligible to obtain a NATO security clearance.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading people and manufacturing test teams in a AS-9100D manufacturing environment, and a proven track record of improving a team’s culture, quality of work, and efficiency over time.

You have good communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of management, employees, engineering, and human resources. You can identify and solve problems that arise during production.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead a team of Test Technicians that are responsible for testing MS1000 sensors. This includes assembly of all sub-assemblies and finished assemblies.
• Responsible for creating a positive work culture and team dynamic within the MS1000 test team.
• Responsible for performance management of all Test Technicians within the team. This includes performing formal and informal performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and positive recognition when appropriate.
• Responsible for managing all employee training, ensuring that team members are properly trained for tasks they are performing and training is properly documented.
• Support the Manufacturing Manager in determining the requirements for new staffing and hiring new staff members.
• Responsible for working with Production Planning to ensure production moves as anticipated.
• Responsible for following the non-conformance management process and ensuring MS1000 test corrective actions are being performed appropriately.
• Ensure lean Manufacturing processes are implemented and sustained.
