Shift Schedule - Monday to Friday, Full Time, Morning Shift
Pay Rate - $25.00 an hour
The Canadian Distribution Centre (CAN DC) manages the dispatch, receipt, and inventory of goods for the Canadian market. This role may be assigned to support key functions including dispatch, receiving, and inventory control tasks.
The primary responsibility of the Team Lead is to coordinate labor and workflow within the Replenishment department. This flexible role may rotate into various areas, particularly within Processing, to support workload distribution, order consolidation, unloading, palletizing, scanning, responding to interdepartmental emails, and handling call-down orders. Tasks are performed using tools and equipment such as scanners, computers, pallet jacks, plastic wrap, and walk riders (with required certification).
This position may oversee or assist in different departments within the CAN DC, and duties may vary accordingly based on operational needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-
Department Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute replenishment tasks for retail, ecommerce and wholesale priorities.
- Use WMS to manage stock movement, task monitoring, and labor decisions.
- Ensure product is handled properly to maintain quality and minimize damage.
- Coordinate replenishment based on shipping schedules and volume needs.
- Maintain accurate floor locations in partnership with Inventory Control.
- Track replenishment priorities, update internal trackers, and ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Manage shared tools and assign labor to meet operational and housekeeping needs.
- Serve as a backup to other functional areas (Processing, VTS) as required.
Core Leadership Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily team operations and delegate tasks based on volume and priorities.
- Support, coach, and train team members to ensure consistent performance and development.
- Lead pre-shift meetings, shift hand-offs, and stretch routines as needed.
- Monitor productivity and compliance with company standards, KPIs, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, Processing, VTS) to align workflow and priorities.
- Maintain professional communication, clear reporting, and accurate recordkeeping.
- Uphold safety, cleanliness, and equipment care expectations across the department.
- Promote a fair, inclusive, and team-focused work environment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Carry out Equipment Operator general responsibilities and duties as and when required.
- Other tasks deemed suitable based on knowledge and experience as required by the CAN DC Departmental Supervisor or General Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experienced in a logistics environment
- Substantial Team Lead experience
- Familiarity with H&S and safe work practices
- Knowledge of IN - OUTBOUND logistics flow
- Introductory knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and PowerBI
- Experience with WMS and RF scanners
- Experience in using scanners and other logistics technologies
- Proven people management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- OFA Level 2 certification or willing to get one - an asset
- Valid MHE Certification or willing to get one
- Flexibility during key operational times and events to support operations
