ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a strategic and technically skilled Team Lead/ Product Owner to lead our Data Infrastructure & Services team within Laerdal Medical's Data Engineering organization. The team consists of highly specialized Software- and Data Engineers as well as DevOps- and Cloud Engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the foundational data infrastructure and systems that power our data ecosystem, with particular focus on Unified Event Services (UES), APIs, and core data infrastructure for Databricks. You will shape the roadmap for services that connect data producers and consumers across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the strategic vision and roadmap for Laerdal's data infrastructure and services, including UES and other APIs
• Drive the delivery of robust data ingestion systems that meet the needs of all data producers and consumers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements for data infrastructure projects
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate the value of data infrastructure initiatives
• Prioritize the product backlog based on business impact, technical requirements, and resource constraints
• Work closely with technical team members to design scalable, secure, and compliant data solutions
• Balance new feature development with maintenance and technical debt reduction
• Monitor performance and usage metrics to inform continuous improvement
• Establish SLAs and ensure adherence to quality and performance standards

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in data infrastructure or platform services
• Strong technical background with understanding of data architectures, APIs, and cloud services
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data technologies
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and data ingestion systems
• Familiarity with security frameworks and access control models
• Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration
• Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts
• Experience with Agile methodologies and product development practices
• Background in implementing data services at scale

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of Databricks, Delta Lake, and related technologies
• Background in API design and management
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for data handling
• Experience with building developer platforms or internal services

As the Product Owner for Data Infrastructure & Services, you'll lead "The Foundation Builders" for our data ecosystem. Your work will directly enable Laerdal's data capabilities by creating robust, scalable infrastructure that supports our mission of helping save lives. You'll collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure our data foundation meets the evolving needs of the organization.
