Job summary

Keyera is seeking a Team Lead, Measurement Analytics to join the Measurement and Analytics team. This role leads data validation, balancing and analysis of measurement data across commodities and business units, and oversees measurement software systems.

You will develop governance and assurance programs to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, own data stewardship, and drive improvements in data quality and system performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in hydrocarbon measurement analytics or related leadership roles.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret measurement data, investigate imbalances and identify practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear expectations and effectively address challenges and issues with the team.
• Previous leadership experience managing a team of professionals is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with the Measurement Analytics team, comprised of 5 professionals focused on quantity and quality measurement data validation and system balances.
• Develop and maintain governance and assurance programs to ensure measurement processes comply with regulations, contracts and industry best practices.
• Own measurement data stewardship for all commodities across all business units.
• Act as the business owner of measurement software systems, including Welltrak, MMS, Flowcal and SchematicPro.
• Lead the software system enhancement process to improve efficiency and coordinate with IT to resolve bugs and issues.
• Own and administer Keyera’s Enhanced Production Audit Program (EPAP), Flare Fuel and Vent Management (FFVM), and Sulphur Balance (S30) programs.
• Provide expertise, support and training in the implementation of measurement programs.
• Lead the analysis of measurement data and system imbalances, identifying trends, gaps and opportunities to improve data quality and resolve measurement issues.
• Develop and maintain measurement KPIs that provide meaningful insight into data quality, system performance and areas requiring attention.
• Recruit, mentor and retain top talent across data science and analytical roles.
• Provide visible leadership presence and reinforcement of Keyera’s cultural behaviours and values.

The Position

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in hydrocarbon measurement analytics, measurement system ownership or technical leadership roles.
• Working knowledge of industry measurement standards and regulations.
• Previous leadership experience managing a team of professionals is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret measurement data, investigate imbalances and identify practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear expectations and effectively address challenges and issues with the team.
• Ability to professionally interact and build effective working relationships with individuals both inside and outside the company.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while managing time-sensitive and competing priorities.
