In this role, you’ll help ensure our store runs like a well-oiled machine while maintaining a positive, customer-centric atmosphere. If you're ready to lead by example and be part of a dynamic team, we want to hear from you!

As a Team Lead, you will use your expertise in inventory control to guide the team in driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You'll play a key role in managing our inventory, reducing shrink, and ensuring the store is stocked with the right products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inbound Inventory Management: Oversee the receiving process and manage stock levels. Investigate excess inventory, minimize overstocks, and ensure product flow is efficient. Follow the merchandise playbook and ensure available stock is placed in its proper home location to prevent any empty spots.
  • Excessive Inventory Management: Actively monitor and control excessive inventory by identifying slow-moving products, coordinating with the team to adjust stock levels, and implementing strategies to reduce overstock situations. Work closely with the management team to adjust purchasing and inventory processes as needed.
  • Shrink Control: Proactively manage shrink by identifying and addressing gaps in inventory. Educate and coach the team on best practices for minimizing shrink and ensuring expired and damaged products are scanned out daily. Investigate discrepancies before posting scan-outs.
  • Expiry Management: Conduct regular expiry date checks, ensuring products are sold in a timely manner and minimizing the risk of items expiring on the shelf. Proactively manage product movement to avoid overstocking or expiration.
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with Store Management to motivate, coach, and provide constructive feedback to staff, ensuring a cohesive and high-performing team.
  • Customer Experience: Lead by example in providing outstanding customer service. Greet and assist customers, address concerns, and resolve complaints professionally to create a positive shopping experience.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure seamless store operations, including opening/closing procedures, product ticketing, markdowns, and maintaining store inventory standards.
  • Maintain Store Appearance: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing. A well-stocked and inviting store environment is key to enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Drive Team Goals: Foster a results-driven culture by helping the team achieve and exceed their goals with enthusiasm, commitment, and energy.
  • Team Collaboration: Work in close partnership with Store Management to promote the store's core values, provide outstanding customer service, and contribute to the team’s success.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a team lead or supervisory role within retail or customer service. A proven ability to drive operational success and lead teams effectively.
  • Customer Service Excellence: A demonstrated history of providing exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (advanced skills preferred). Familiarity with retail systems and email communication.
  • Leadership: Experience leading and motivating teams to achieve operational goals and exceed performance expectations.
  • Operational Acumen: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address operational gaps, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, team members, and management.
  • Flexibility: Open availability to work nights, weekends, and store opening/closing shifts to meet business needs.
  • Retail Expertise: In-depth knowledge of retail and wholesale principles, operations, and practices. A solid understanding of inventory control, cost analysis, and budgeting.
  • Passion for Wellness: A genuine passion for natural wellness and a commitment to living a healthy lifestyle.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a polished, professional appearance and represent the Healthy Planet brand with pride.
