Job summary

WSP is seeking a Team Lead, HSSEQ in Québec to lead and coach HSSEQ Advisors, ensuring alignment with the company vision and systems. The role focuses on delivering safe, compliant project execution through risk assessment, trend analysis, and proactive improvements.

You will partner with leaders, project teams, and clients to embed safe practices across lifecycle delivery, lead investigations, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within a regional scope.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience in construction or industrial project safety environments.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop high‑performing teams
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian provincial OH&S legislation and industry best practices
  • Postsecondary education in Environment, Health & Safety or equivalent experience
  • Professional designation (CRSP, CRST, CHSO, or CHSC) is considered an asset
  • Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels
  • Bilingual in French and English (required for Québec operations)

Responsibilities

  • Drive alignment with WSP’s HSSEQ vision, priorities, and management systems across projects and teams
  • Oversee HSSEQ support for projects, ensuring risk‑based, compliant, and effective delivery
  • Influence safety outcomes by identifying risks, analysing trends, and implementing proactive improvement strategies
  • Partner with business leaders, project teams, and clients to embed safe practices into project lifecycle delivery
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to strengthen performance
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and behavioural safety
  • Support implementation and evolution of HSSEQ systems and processes at a regional level

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $122,900 - $162,800

MB & ON: $112,100 - $154,400

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $111,000 - $147,400
