Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with school-aged students preferred.
• Must obtain RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Provide 2–3 references.
• Provide transcripts and credential documentation.
• Provide teaching certificate.

Responsibilities

• Support learners in the classroom and create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Build authentic relationships with students, staff, Elders, and families.
• Collaborate with educators to plan and implement educational programming.
• Promote Yukon First Nation culture and language in the classroom.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma, or equivalent experience
• Experience working with school aged students is preferred

• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain an authentic relationship with the local Yukon First Nation people, community members, community Elders, and families, promoting greater community involvement in school-based activities and educational programming;
• Eagerness to learn about and integrate the local Yukon First Nation culture & worldview, and the language in the classroom;
• Able to follow and carry out instructions with little supervision, and,
• Communicates clearly and respectfully.
