Job summary

Nelnah Bessie John School in Beaver Creek is seeking a Teacher on Call to support learning in a welcoming classroom and to build authentic relationships with families and community Elders. You will collaborate with educators to deliver engaging lessons that reflect Yukon First Nation wisdom.

The role emphasizes language and cultural integration, and requires a High School Diploma with experience with school-aged students. RCMP check and references are requested, on-call scheduling applies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with school aged students is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain authentic relationships with Yukon First Nation communities.

Responsibilities

• Support learners in a classroom setting and create an engaging learning atmosphere.
• Build authentic relationships with families, communities, Elders, and staff.
• Collaborate with educators to deliver meaningful educational programming.
• Follow and implement directions with minimal supervision.

Qualifications and Experience

• Communicates clearly and respectfully.
