Job Description

1. Planning, monitoring, and managing workflows by delegating queues, approving high-risk transactions, and supervising functions to ensure timely and accurate completion.
2. Managing escalations internally and externally to mitigate operational, reputational, regulatory, and financial risks.
3. Managing confirmations and settlements for FX transactions.
4. Proactively working with external clients and dealers to resolve economic discrepancies on FX.
5. Partnering with internal teams including Sales & Trading, Credit, Technology, and other operations to ensure timely confirmation and settlement.
6. Ensuring accurate and timely settlement of FX trades and cash flows, adhering to policies and procedures.
7. Maintaining accurate post-settlement workflows, including breaks and failed trades.
8. Designing and initiating process improvements with a thorough understanding of team processes and controls.
9. Resolving and escalating client disputes and queries.
10. Managing projects and initiatives within the team and across regions.
11. Providing coaching and guidance to team members, including feedback and training planning.
12. Identifying gaps in processing and recommending solutions.
13. Building relationships with internal partners, brokers, clients, custodians, and vendors to streamline workflows.
14. Maintaining department procedures and providing management reports to senior management and the business.

Qualifications

1. University or college degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
2. 8-10+ years of experience in capital markets, preferably within Operations or related fields.
3. Deep knowledge of FX products including Spot/Forwards, Swaps, Non-Deliverable Forwards, OTC FX Options.
4. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VBA, SQL). Knowledge of programming tools like Alteryx, Python, UiPath is a plus.
5. Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Strong risk management understanding and problem-solving skills.
8. Experience with Murex, Bloomberg, FXall, Finastra, and TradeNexus is an asset.
