We seek a Tax and Treasury Manager who will report to the Canada Controller and handle tax reporting, compliance, local Treasury activities, and support general ledger functions as needed. This role involves significant interaction with our International and Corporate Tax Teams, Corporate Treasury, External Tax Advisors, Tax Regulators, and Banking Institutions. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and leadership skills, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Effective communication and the ability to build strong partnerships across business units and global regions are essential for success in this collaborative role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tax (60%): Prepare quarterly tax packages, annual withholding tax and information packages, and act as the Revenue Recognition Expert for Canada. Prepare annual financial statements and tax forms, respond to audit requests, file tax returns, review transfer pricing, research new tax legislations, and handle ad hoc projects.
• Treasury (25%): Prepare cash flow projections, quarterly bank inventory files, assist with SOX and audit testing, reconcile treasury accounts, process wire payments and intercompany transactions, and manage banking relationships and account setups.
• General Ledger (15%): Support expense and cost teams with journal entries and reconciliations, and participate in ad hoc projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7+ years in accounting with management experience
• Experience with a global corporation and Big 4 audit firm
• Knowledge of Canadian tax reporting and compliance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Proficiency in Excel

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion Financial Management
• Background in Treasury and cash management
