Job summary

FundyPros in Fredericton, Canada, is looking for an experienced drywall finisher to join our Atlantic Canada team. You will work on drywall installations, taping, plastering, sanding, and finishing surfaces to meet exacting quality standards.

We emphasize safety, professional conduct, and continuous development. Typical schedule is Monday to Friday with overtime opportunities, and Red Seal is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience with drywall finishing.
• High degree of respect, professionalism, safety consciousness, and integrity.
• Willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Joining drywall panels using tape and plaster.
• Repairing cracks and damage to drywall panels.
• Concealing imperfections on drywall surface.
• Layering plaster or spackle to create a flat surface.
• Sanding rough areas to create a smooth surface.
• Skimming surface with a final layer of plaster.
• Managing and maintaining required equipment.
• Keeping supervisor updated on progress and issues.
• Ensuring safe and effective use of equipment and materials.

• Layering plaster or spackle with trowels to create a flat surface.
• Sanding down rough areas on the wall to create a smooth surface.
• Skimming the surface with a final layer of plaster in preparation for finishing work.
• Managing and maintaining all the required equipment for the job.
• Keeping your supervisor abreast of your progress and reporting any job-related issues.
• Ensuring that all equipment and materials are used safely and effectively.
