The position is full-time and requires a Class 3 license with air brakes, English fluency, and knowledge of local construction practices. WCL offers a competitive pay rate starting at $25.00/hour and a benefits package.

Earthworks Construction – Tandem Operator

Weinrich Contracting Ltd. is an earth works and heavy civil construction company who specializes in excavation, road construction, subdivision development, site preparation, site clean-up, oil and gas construction, and reclamation. WCL predominantly operates in the urban Edmonton and surrounding area, but often operate in the northern and central Alberta oil and gas industry. Responsibilities:

• Experience loading, securing and transporting various types of materials would be an asset
• Perform trip inspection on equipment operated and loaded, ensuring safety and road worthiness
• Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver’s hours, occupational health and safety
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Maintain daily logs as required, inspection logs and other necessary paperwork.
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies

Requirements:

• Minimum valid Class 3 Driver’s License with airbrakes
• Knowledge of the City of Edmonton an asset
• Knowledge of Construction an asset
• Must be able to speak and write fluent English
