Looking to join a fast-paced and ever-expanding organization? Be a part of our dynamic team at Performance Auto Group! We are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Employee Services team on a 12-month Contract.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist partners with the Talent Acquisition Team Lead to develop and execute a grassroots talent acquisition strategy. The position plays a key role in the day-to-day activities of the Talent Acquisition team and is responsible for full-cycle recruitment, while ensuring a positive candidate experience that sets Performance Auto Group apart from other dealership groups. You are considered the subject matter expert in recruitment and selection and provide direct support to hiring managers. You are a high-energy, results-oriented individual with ambition to drive the talent demands to directly support the needs of Performance Auto Group's business units.

Here’s what you’ll deliver:

  1. Supports the Talent Acquisition Team Lead in the development and execution of the talent acquisition and sourcing strategy
  2. Serves as lead recruiter for key roles in the organization
  3. Consults with hiring managers to understand the needs of the job vacancy requisition
  4. Posts open positions on the applicant tracking system and manages assigned requisitions
  5. Employs creative recruitment marketing techniques to increase visibility to PAG career opportunities on social media
  6. Develops and executes creative and proactive candidate sourcing strategies
  7. Pre-screens and interviews applicants for open positions
  8. Makes recommendations to hiring managers on candidates based on interview assessments
  9. Communicates with applicants and shortlisted candidates to provide candidate status updates
  10. Maintains a strong pipeline of qualified candidates and cultivates a strong network of passive talent
  11. Provides guidance to hiring managers on hiring policies and procedures
  12. Supports hiring managers with scheduling and conducting interviews
  13. Provides recruitment-related training to hiring managers and other stakeholders
  14. Independently builds, owns, and maintains critical relationships across the business
  15. Supports all strategic recruitment activities and initiatives
  16. Serves as subject matter expert in talent acquisition analytics and routine reporting
  17. Coordinates and supports job fairs and recruitment events
  18. Supports PAG Students co-op and internship recruitment activities
  19. Serves as point of contact for the talent acquisition team in the Team Lead's absence
  20. Adheres to all applicable federal and provincial regulations and company policies
  21. Assumes other duties or special projects as directed by management

What do you need to succeed?

  1. University Degree or College Diploma
  2. Successful completion of a post-secondary program in Human Resources
  3. CHRP Designation is an asset
  4. 3-5 years in a full-cycle recruitment role
  5. Automotive industry recruitment experience is highly desirable
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record
  8. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to small and mid-size groups for long periods of time
  9. Positive “can-do” attitude with the ability to work confidently under pressure and manage changing/competing priorities
  10. Exceptional organizational, planning, and administrative skills
  11. Proven time management skills with the ability to take initiative in the development and completion of assigned projects and duties
  12. Strong computer skills including Google applications with aptitude to learn and embrace the use of technology
  13. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in drafting offer letters and job descriptions
  14. Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and demands with the willingness to work longer hours as circumstances require
  15. Demonstrates utmost professionalism in the performance of duties
  16. Discretion is mandatory as the role involves access to highly confidential information

***This compensation range will be based on knowledge and experience***

Job Type: Full Time - Temporary (12 month contract)

Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
