About the Role
Shift Energy Group is seeking a results-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing candidates to facilitating offers. You will partner closely with hiring managers across departments to understand workforce needs and deliver high-quality talent in alignment with our culture and goals. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone experienced in high-volume or technical recruitment, especially within the solar or renewable energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment across multiple departments, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiations.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to attract top talent using job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, selection criteria, and hiring timelines.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience through consistent communication and timely feedback.
- Maintain and optimize the applicant tracking system (ATS); track candidate data and recruitment metrics.
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives and promote Shift Energy Group as an employer of choice.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership on workforce planning and talent pipeline development.
- All other duties as seen necessary for this role.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–4 years of recruitment experience, ideally in a corporate or agency environment.
- Demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruitment processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with ATS platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Humi)
- Proven ability to source passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and other tools.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume recruiting environment.
- Familiarity with Canadian employment law and hiring practices for various provinces in Canada.
- CPHR designation is preferred.
