This Role

This position is an exciting secondment opportunity with a global mining company, where you will contribute directly to impactful recruitment initiatives. You will champion diversity and support First Nations communities, making a meaningful difference.

Position Details

We are working with one of the world's largest mining organizations on a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) partnership. The full-time embedded Talent Acquisition Partner will join our team in downtown Vancouver, BC, on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver comprehensive recruitment services, including job briefings, candidate screening, interviews, probity checks, and offer negotiations.
  2. Lead sourcing and recruitment initiatives for various roles, partnering with external service providers as needed.
  3. Coach hiring managers on attraction, sourcing, and selection strategies.
  4. Ensure recruitment processes support diversity and inclusion principles.
  5. Facilitate exceptional candidate experiences through timely communication.
  6. Support internal mobility and candidate engagement.
  7. Develop understanding of critical roles to inform strategic recruitment planning.
  8. Design and implement innovative sourcing strategies tailored to business needs.
  9. Build and nurture talent pipelines through proactive networking.
  10. Collaborate on market mapping and talent pooling activities.
  11. Identify and contribute to continuous improvement within recruitment.
  12. Participate in additional projects as directed.
About You

Minimum qualifications include:

  • At least 2 years' experience in full-cycle recruitment within mining, oil and gas, or heavy industries.
  • Proficiency in behavioral interviewing and candidate management.
  • Knowledge of recruitment best practices and labor laws.
  • Experience with sourcing strategies, ATS like SAP SuccessFactors, and tools like LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Qualifications in Human Resources or related fields are a plus.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience working with First Nations and Indigenous communities.
  • Coaching and influencing recruitment decisions.
  • Designing innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Proactive and strategic mindset.
