Job summary

Finlay Jude Associates Ltd in Bolton is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to lead the full recruitment cycle, forecast staffing needs, and align activities with budgets and policies. The role requires a confident communicator with strong organisational skills and a track record in managing recruitment at multiple levels, including onsite or field roles.

Qualifications

  • Desirable 5 years' experience or significant experience in a similar role
  • Experience of full life cycle talent acquisition
  • Direct recruitment across levels, onsite or field (desirable)
  • Experience managing talent pipelines
  • Knowledge of recruitment industry practices
  • Understanding of labour and employment law
  • Proficient use of social media and job boards
  • Proficient in ATS and databases
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes and documentation
  • Maintain active brand presence on social media and company site
  • Manage candidate experience and regular communications
  • Plan recruitment needs and pipelines; advise on diversity initiatives
  • Provide centralized recruitment services with fairness and inclusion
  • Oversee hiring across roles; build pipelines aligned to culture
  • Ensure candidates are logged in the HR system
  • Support large recruitment events and campus activities
  • Coordinate apprenticeships and graduate recruitment
  • Participate in induction of new starters
  • Review feedback for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with operations and institutions to source talent
  • Review vendors and agencies to improve cost-efficiency
  • Drive data-driven decisions using recruitment metrics

Job description

FJA are currently recruiting for an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager on behalf our client based in the Bolton area.

Reporting to the Head of People & Development, this is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and growing team. You will manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle, as well as working behind the scenes to review recruitment data, forecast requirements, and ensure all recruitment activities are in line with departmental policies and budgets.

We are looking for a confident communicator who can multitask and organise their workload effectively.

Talent Acquisition Manager Responsibilities
  • Attraction and retention of staff through high quality, well documented processes, and engagement (briefing, solutions, communication and reporting).
  • Be actively involved in ensuring a social media presence of the brand, including ongoing development of the People section of the website.
  • Manage the candidate experience at all stages of the recruitment process, including maintaining regular contact.
  • Effectively plan recruitment requirements, advising on a broad range of talent acquisition initiatives such as pipelining, diversity and manpower planning.
  • Facilitate a centralised recruitment service to the business promoting fairness, inclusion and respect.
  • Manage all hiring needs and build ongoing pipeline of suitable candidates aligned to the organisation’s values and culture.
  • Ensure all candidates are logged and processed through the HR system
  • Support large scale recruitment events such as job fairs, direct hire events and other community events
  • Manage apprentice and graduate recruitment and talent pipelines, including the planning and co-ordination of assessment days
  • Participate in the induction of new starters
  • Seek continuous improvement opportunities by reviewing feedback
  • Work closely with the operational teams and academic institutions to promote apprenticeships / graduates within the different disciplines and recruit the right talent into the business.
  • Review and management of vendors, agencies to drive cost and efficiencies in the recruiting function.
  • Drive a consistent review of recruiting metrics and make data driven decisions which move the organisation toward further efficiency.

The successful Talent Acquisition Manager must have the following experience:

  • Desirable 5 Years experience or significant experience within a similar role
  • Experience of full life cycle talent acquisition
  • Significant direct recruitment experience across all levels, including candidates working on site or in the field (desirable)
  • Experienced in managing talent pipelines
  • Good working knowledge of the recruitment industry
  • A detailed working knowledge of labour and employment law
  • Proficient use of social media and job boards
  • Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and databases
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products / internet and email
  • Planning and organisational qualities
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to influence a variety of audiences
  • Promoter of inclusion with a strong awareness on equality and diversity
