Job summary

Canadian Natural is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for the Mine Operations team at Albian Tailings in Fort McMurray, Alberta. You will safely operate Dozer, Rock Truck, Grader, Excavator and Loader to support tailings activities and meet mine objectives.

Safety sensitive position reporting to the Shift Team Lead, this role requires a Grade 12 diploma, at least 2 years direct Tailings experience, and a valid Class 5 license.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalency.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience directly in a Tailings environment, preferably experience with cell construction, tailings process, operating heavy equipment and/or fluid transfer equipment
• Marine Master’s Limited Certification would be an asset
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in a Tailings environment.
• Contribute expertise with the following roles in a Tailings environment: Permit Issuer, Area Operator (Line Patrol), Area Authority, Lock Out Authority/Isolations, Cell Construction/Sand Placement.
• Contribute expertise with heavy equipment in a Tailings environment: Dozer (D8), Rock Truck, Grader, Excavator, Loader.
• Comply with Health and Safety requirements and regulations, including company safety tools and standards.
