Job summary

Canadian Natural in Fort McMurray is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join the Mine Operations team at Albian Oil Sands. You will safely operate multiple pieces of heavy equipment to meet production goals in a Tailings environment.

You will work under the Mine Tailings Department, holding a Grade 12 diploma, with 2+ years in tailings, a Class 5 license, and safety certifications. Marine Master’s recognition would be an asset.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalency.
• Minimum of 2 years’ tailings environment experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Marine Master’s Limited Certification would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate Dozer (D8), Rock Truck, Grader, Excavator, and Loader in Tailings.
• Handle fluid transfer equipment and related tasks in Tailings operations.
• Adhere to Health and Safety requirements and Canadian Natural’s Safety Management System.
• Support permit issuing, area authority, lock out/tag out procedures as needed.
