GardaWorld is seeking a Tactical Security Guard for Barrie, Ontario. This part-time position covers Saturdays and Sundays, with duties including patrolling, access control, incident response, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed.

The role emphasizes quick threat assessment, strong observation, and excellent social skills. GardaWorld provides training through the GardaWorld Academy, uniform, and potential for future full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification required.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity.
• Check identification and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents.

What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths.

As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, security facility centers, etc.

Schedule: Part-time, Saturdays (06:45 - 14:45) & Sundays (08:45 - 16:00)

Location: L4N 3K3
