Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Tactical Security Guard to patrol various environments in Hamilton, Ontario. The role emphasizes environmental awareness, risk anticipation and rapid response, with shifts including Sat-Sun 18:00–06:00 and location at L8P 3C1.

Responsibilities include access control, documenting actions, monitoring alarms/cameras, and coordination with law enforcement as needed. Training provided through GardaWorld Academy with flexible scheduling options.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification required.
• Ability to pass Use of Force qualification.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Check identification and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents

What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths.

As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, security facility centers, etc.

Schedules:

Sat-Sun 1800-0600 (Part Time - Please note that this shift ends on Monday Morning)

Location: L8P 3C1
