Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Tactical Mall Security Guard in Edmonton to deter crime, patrol retail spaces, and respond to incidents with professional, tactical conduct.

Ideal candidates will hold an Alberta Security License, have security or related experience, and be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. GardaWorld offers training, growth opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Security License
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or military is an asset
• Prior experience in retail or mall security is preferred
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations
• Excellent observational and decision-making skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong security presence and act as a deterrent to criminal activity
• Conduct proactive patrols inside and outside the mall to ensure the safety of tenants, employees, and customers
• Respond to security incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a professional and tactical manner
• Assist with crowd control and crisis management as needed
• Enforce mall policies, trespassing regulations, and applicable laws
• Prepare detailed reports on security incidents and daily activities
• Collaborate with mall management, law enforcement, and emergency services when necessary
