Job summary

University of Ottawa is seeking a teaching assistant for the Computer Graphics course (CSI4130) at the Main Campus. The TA will support in-person labs, help with assignments, and assist the supervising professor in course delivery during the 2027 Winter Semester.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of graphics concepts, 3D transformations, and WebGL or OpenGL in Javascript, with familiarity in C/C++ and Java. Interviews may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of this course or equivalent with a mark of A or better (preferred).
• Willing to attend a TA workshop if necessary.
• Must be ready for an interview if considered for this position.
• If responsibilities include DGD and/or TUT and/or LAB supervision or teaching, must be available for all of these.
• Excellent knowledge of computer graphics concepts including 3D spatial transformations.
• Proficient in WebGL (or OpenGL) in Javascript.
• Familiarity with C/C++ and Java is desired.
• Able to conduct laboratories and guide students in assignments and projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with teaching of the Computer Graphics course as a TA.
• Proctor exams and help in labs and tutorials.
• Guide students in assignments and projects during the term.
• Coordinate work with supervising professor on task allocation.
