Job summary

University of Ottawa is seeking a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor for the Data visualization and analytics course (SED1116) at the Main Campus. Work includes direct student contact, grading, proctoring, and lab supervision under the supervision of Andrew Sowinski for the Winter 2027 semester.

Preference given to candidates who have completed relevant graduate coursework in philosophy/ethics or related subjects, have research experience, and are comfortable using Teams and

Qualifications

• Experience in academic research and writing at the graduate level.
• Ability to conduct literature searches using academic databases.
• Familiarity with reference management software.

Responsibilities

• Contact with students.
• Grading / evaluation of assignments.
• Proctoring exams and supervising labs.
• Research and preparation activities as assigned.
• Additional duties as required by the supervisor.
