About the opportunity:
We're looking for a technology support professional who will build / configure / install / deploy and support client systems and network/business applications in support of Christie employees' business requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Christie employees in the use of client systems and network applications.
  • Build/Configure/Deploy client systems (laptops and PCs and the occasional MacOS)
  • Repair of end-user computers and devices.
  • Support of client operating systems and local applications.
  • Assist / Train employees on the use of Christie's online Business applications.
  • Perform equipment relocation and setup for inner office moves
  • Create and terminate accounts as needed in various Business applications.
  • Ship new and repaired client systems to remote employees
  • Perform remote tech support for remote user community as required.
  • Document processes for team members or user community as required.
  • Document all work performed, and as directed in BTS work order database.
  • Manual and Administrative work that can be assigned at any time:
  • Pack and unpack hardware/software for shipping and receiving
  • Track/document movement of hardware and software as assigned.
  • Physically remove clutter, organize, relocate, and clean BTS workspace and equipment as required.
  • Relocate, Assemble, Disassemble, or Mount equipment as required

The experience and skills we value:

  • Diploma in Computer Networking Systems or related education.
  • 1 – 3 years of related experience working in an IT Help Desk environment.
  • Basic level understanding of computer hardware.
  • Basic understanding of Ethernet TCP/IP networking.
  • Good task management skills, able to work efficiently and produce a lot of work.
  • Foundational technical knowledge of current Microsoft Windows client operating systems.
  • Willingness and ability to follow documented processes and procedures in detail.

What will put you ahead:

  • Previous work experience in a fast-paced high-tech business environment.
  • Experience with a ticketing system
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Teams
  • Knowledge in AD, basic understanding of network support
  • Microsoft/A+/Network+ certification
