Job Description

As a member of the Legal Services IT team, the System Integrator 2 will support and enhance our docketing system. Working alongside a System Integrator 1, the primary responsibilities include providing technical expertise, troubleshooting issues, integrating/developing new features, and optimizing system performance.

Major Responsibilities

1. Conduct feasibility studies on business opportunities & challenges.
2. Assess, analyze, evaluate, and recommend process & policy alternatives.
3. Provide inputs on improvements to current business environment & processes.
4. Recommend improvements to current methodology, process, standards, and policies.
5. Liaise and coordinate with internal & external groups on deliverables. Facilitate collection of business requirements and build consensus amongst clients.
6. Prepare Business Case, Business Requirements, Gap Analysis, Logical Data Models, and Design documents for proposed solutions.
7. Provide inputs to Data Management teams on transforming business requirements into physical data models.
8. Design and implement business & data/information requirements into databases or file management systems.
9. Develop programs to translate business requirements & designs into information systems.
10. Prepare test data and conduct various testing phases.
11. Prepare test strategies, cases, and scripts for system validation.
12. Participate in review of deliverables to identify potential issues.
13. Prepare implementation and rollout strategies and plans.
14. Document systems to facilitate knowledge transfer.
15. Contribute to 'Go / No Go' decision-making processes.
16. Travel to off-site locations as required.

Key Qualifications

Your application should describe how you meet the following qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat administration, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Experience with SQL Developer and SQL Navigator for database development and support.
• Proficiency in application development using PL/SQL, including stored procedures, triggers, and business logic.

You Must Also Have

• Knowledge of Ajax, Node.js, JSF, JSON, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, HTML5, XML, CSS, XHTML, XSLT, WSDL, SOAP/REST, Crystal Reports, Oracle WebSphere, Eclipse BIRT, Primefaces.
• Proficiency with rapid application development methodologies.
• Knowledge of GUI and system interface design and development.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams and in a project environment.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
