DRS Canada is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, verify, and validate complex communications systems across the product lifecycle. You will contribute across disciplines from network architecture to requirements management and government-deliverable documentation.

This versatile role requires strong systems engineering foundations, collaboration across hardware, software, and program management, and a willingness to broaden technical footprint in a defense/aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and strong systems engineering foundation.
• Minimum 3+ years in product or project development related to defense/aerospace.
• Working knowledge of communication protocols and network infrastructure.
• Ability to produce technical reports and conduct presentations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the full systems engineering lifecycle for communications systems and equipment.
• Develop and manage system requirements with traceability from customer specs to verification.
• Design robust communication architectures meeting environmental and industry standards.
• Author and maintain technical documentation and government deliverables.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, integration and program management teams.
• Support integration and test activities and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in design reviews and sound decision making, including cybersecurity considerations.
