Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to contribute to multi-disciplinary electronics systems for armored vehicles. You will work on in-vehicle video management, displays, fire control, and FPGA-based boards, participating in design, analysis, and lifecycle management from development to production.

You will be mentored by experienced engineers, with a path toward design authority and schematic capture in Siemens DX Designer within 2–3 years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Student engineering experience is an asset.
• P.Eng. is not required, but experience toward licensure is supported.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bring-up of newly designed circuit cards and long-term support.
• Simulate and test circuits using LTSpice and other analysis techniques.
• Design circuits in Siemens DX Designer in the 2–3 year timeframe.
• Develop new test approaches for evolving product development.
• Document engineering investigations and RCCA processes.
• Advise technicians during testing and debugging of cards.
