Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an IT Solution Design professional to join our Canada-based team. You will analyze business and technical requirements, design end-to-end solutions, and ensure alignment with target architecture and IT standards.

You will collaborate with architects, developers, and QA, contribute to planning and estimations, support deployments, and mentor teammates while maintaining up-to-date design documentation in an Agile/Scrum setting.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in IT solution design
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with complex application environments and integration challenges
• Hands-on experience in IT solution design, ideally in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Knowledge of the insurance or financial services industry (strong asset)
• Comfortable with a variety of technologies and platforms, including: Azure DevOps, .NET 8, Git, SQL Server, MongoDB, BizTalk, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and Mainframe environments
• Intermediate level of English, able to converse with English-speaking partners and colleagues, and to understand and write business documents

Responsibilities

• Ensure solutions are aligned with the target architecture, IT standards, and organizational best practices

• Support testing phases, analyze defects, and help resolve them
• Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date design documentation
• Act as a subject-matter expert during deployments and support production support activities
• Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing within the IT community
