Rogers is seeking a Platform System Analyst to monitor and support our critical infrastructure 24/7, including Windows, Linux virtual machines, Netapp Storage, HP and Cisco blades.

What You’ll Do

• Accountable for 24/7/365 monitoring and service restoration of the core Data Centre infrastructure.
• Work on a ‘4 on 4 off’ rotation, including weekends, evenings, and overnight shifts. Review work queues and share workload for service requests, escalations, and incidents.
• Analyze and interpret alert situations, mitigating service risks.
• Participate in postmortems when needed.
• Support front-line staff through escalations.
• Collaborate with support teams to resolve incidents and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Manage change controls on server hardware and environments, often after hours.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Contribute to process development to support delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Recommend improvements in processes and technologies to enhance efficiency.

What You Bring

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience managing server environments.
• Knowledge of VMware, vCenter, Linux, Windows, Cisco/HP Blade servers, and storage technologies like Nutanix.
• Experience with monitoring platforms (e.g., Vsure, Netcool, HP Openview, OpenNMS, SCOM, Splunk).
• Post-secondary or technical diploma/degree/certification.
• Current certifications in supported solutions are an asset.
• Experience in multi-service, multi-vendor environments.
• Deep understanding of internet protocols (email, DNS, DHCP, SNMP).
• Knowledge of Service Management principles and experience with ServiceNow and CMDB.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Experience with rotational 24/7/365 shifts.
• Positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
• Desire to work collaboratively and share ideas.
