Job summary

Systematix is seeking a Microsoft 365 Collaboration & Governance Administrator for a 6-month contract with our client in Vaughan. The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week onsite at Concord/Vaughan, offering a challenging opportunity to drive governance and compliance across the Microsoft 365 stack.

You will administer Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive, configure Purview and Defender for Office 365, and support Copilot governance, licensing, and Power Platform

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years administering Microsoft 365 enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Experience supporting hybrid Exchange environments, including mailbox migrations and mail flow.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including DLP, sensitivity labels, retention, and information protection.
• Experience administering Microsoft Power Platform environments and DLP connector policies.

• Support Microsoft Copilot governance, including access controls, data protection, oversharing mitigation, Copilot agent lifecycle management, and licensing.
• Administer Microsoft Power Platform environments, including environment governance and DLP connector policies.
• Manage Microsoft 365 licensing, Secure Score, tenant configuration standards, release management, and feature adoption.
• Develop PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API automation to improve administration and reporting.
• Provide escalation support while maintaining technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our client is seeking a Microsoft 365 Collaboration & Governance Administrator to support and optimize its Microsoft 365 collaboration platform while strengthening governance, compliance, and responsible AI adoption across the organization.

Working alongside the existing infrastructure team, the successful candidate will administer Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Defender for Office 365 while supporting Microsoft Copilot governance, Power Platform administration, licensing, and tenant-wide Microsoft 365 governance.

This position will also provide backup coverage for the organization’s SharePoint and Exchange administrators, ensuring critical collaboration services remain secure, compliant, and highly available.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS

Must Have

• 3-5+ years administering Microsoft 365 enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Experience supporting hybrid Exchange environments, including mailbox migrations and mail flow.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including DLP, sensitivity labels, retention, and information protection.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Copilot governance and Microsoft 365 AI services.
• Experience administering Microsoft Power Platform environments and DLP connector policies.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 licensing, and tenant administration.
• Strong PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API automation skills.
• Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

Nice to Have

• MS-102 or SC-400 certifications.
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 Copilot licensing and consumption reporting.
• Experience with Proofpoint, Check Point, or similar email security products.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Duration: 6-month contract to start

Work Hours: Standard business hours with occasional after-hours work supporting maintenance windows, migrations, and incident response.

PAY DISCLOSURE

The average hourly contract pay range for this position is:

• Intermediate: $60–70/hr inc.
• Senior - $70-75/hr inc.

Compensation is based on experience, technical depth, certifications, and overall fit for the role.
