British Swim School of Kitchener-Waterloo in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor with paid training. Pay ranges from $17.95 to $22 per hour, with weekly shifts and year-round opportunities to grow into lead roles. No prior teaching experience is required, and we provide curriculum-focused instruction.

You’ll teach water safety and swimming using our curriculum, create engaging lessons for varied abilities, and track progress while communicating with parents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with lesson equipment setup and cleanup.
• Participate in training and collaborate with instructors and deck team.

Pay: $17.95 - $22 per hour

Love swimming and enjoy working with children? Join British Swim School of Kitchener-Waterloo and help students become safer, more confident swimmers. This is an opportunity to do meaningful work, stay active, and build valuable teaching and leadership skills.

No previous swim-teaching experience is required. We provide paid training in our curriculum and teaching methods.

What we’re looking for

• Ability to confidently swim at least two swimming strokes.
• A patient, enthusiastic approach and enjoyment of working with children.
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and follow our teaching methods.
• Comfort being in the water throughout scheduled lessons.
• Availability for consistent weekly shifts, including evenings and/or weekends.

Helpful, but not required

• Lifeguard certification.
• Previous teaching, coaching, camp, or childcare experience.
• A competitive swimming background.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
