Job summary

British Swim School - South Orlando is seeking a part-time swim instructor in Burnaby, Canada. This role is filled with fun and purpose, teaching children essential swimming skills to save lives. You will engage children, making their learning experience enjoyable and rewarding.

The ideal candidate will love working with kids, be reliable, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be a swimmer with knowledge of swim strokes.
• Experience with children is a plus, but not required.
• Be able to work weekend mornings and weekday afternoons.

Requirements For Swim Instructors

• You need to be a “swimmer”. Ideally, you have an understanding of all four strokes and an overall appreciation for the water.
• You’ve got to love working with children and seeing them progress.
• You need to be upbeat and ready to enjoy having fun at work. Having fun is mandatory!
• This is a year-round position, and we are looking for longer-term employees. This is not a summer job.
• Be able to work weekend mornings (Saturday or Sunday or both) from 8:30am-2pm.
• Be able to start weekdays at 3:30pm.
• Reliable transportation to any of our area locations.

It’s helpful if you have experience with children or in a child‑focused job, but it’s not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.
